Okay 3 things

1. I’m happy Espimon finally Evolved and Accepted the fact that Hiro was the Real Hiro

2. The idea of Siriusmon’s Blaster blades breaking definitely proves that even Mega Digimon have limits

3. Since the next episode is called Gluttony who else thinks we might see Beelzemon next week?

Shark-King-101 • 1 year ago

The wings seem like his so yeah, Beelzemon is most likely coming next, maybe we'll see Gulus since its another Seven Deadly Sin Digimon

KiboE • 1 year ago

Beelzemon is understandable (or at least Impmon who becomes Beezlemon).

I think Burpmon is also a possible culprit considering its Bio (A Digimon that never gets full no matter how much it eats).

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Burpmon in unlikely, giving how now main trio is facing against mega level digimon.

Burpmon or Weddinmon would make sense if gluttonous episode appeared much earlier.

KiboE • 1 year ago

Normally I would agree, but funny thing about Burpmon, it doesn't have a "level". Because of that (and how it was depicted in the Adventures remake; it took almost all the Digi-Destined in their Ultimate forms to beat one), and its bio stating ANY Digimon (regardless of level) can become Burpmon, Burpmon can easily be "put in any area of difficulty" in regards to levels.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Yes, but giving how Ghost Game easily can get eerie and spooky, Burpmon would look just ridiculous.
If you saw thumbnail for next episode on YouTube, you could easily see that the title was written in yellow letters and yellow is the color of the crown of Gluttony and holder of that crown in Beelzebumon.

KiboE • 1 year ago

Oh, I'm not doubting Beelzebubmon being actually the one to appear (after all, there was Lilithmon). In fact, I think he is the most likely.

But you're excuse of Burpmon not appearing because "Ghost Game easily can get eerie and spooky, Burpmon would look just ridiculous." is a poor excuse considering how even the most unexpected Digimon who did appeared in this series (Monmon, Publimon, Sirenmon, Morphmon, ShogunGekomon, Pillomon, Piximon, even someone like Betsumon) were culprits behind spooky incidents.

Although considering this anime's theme: I'm kinda surprised Bakemon or Dagomon has never appeared.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Those digimon (Koemon/Monmon, Publimon, Sirenmon, Morphomon, Tonosama Gekomon, Pillomon, Piccolomon, Betsumon) looking more menacing and, possible dangerous than Burpmon who is just giant pink blob.
I mean, they surely could make Burpmon more menacing, but that digimon just looks like a mistake.
Even Beelzebumon, for now, seems unlikely, because here everything is possible.
Remember Lamortmon's debut? Everyone expected Were Garurumon or some other werewolf digimon and we got Manticoremon.

It seems funny that this is GHOST game and we, for now, didn't see GHOSTmon or Bakemon or Soulmon. Also, why Dagomon?

KiboE • 1 year ago

Like you said, they can make any Digimon menacing so Burpmon would be no exception.
And the reason why I said Dagomon: because he’s a Cthulhu based legend, and how it’s actions are similar to the legend of the Bermuda Triangle (along with it’s entry of erasing people’s existences) which all can fit nicely in the Ghost Game lore/theme. They did classics monsters, like vampires, mummies, witches, devils, etc. so I was expecting the Octopus/sea based monster too.

Before Cthyllamon (that evil looking Marineangemon), I honestly, I was expecting Dagomon to do a “water/sea based” spooky event.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Dagomon is perfect level digimon and he would be perfect for Thetismon's debut, more than Toropiamon and Kodokugumon.
It's shame that we didn't see him, because Dagomon would fit nicely in all this spookiness of Ghost Game.

Royland Sidam • 1 year ago

Yeah this reminded me of back in Digimon Savers, Shinegreymon a Mega Digimon have this sword called GeoGreySword which always breaks all the damn time which is pretty useless

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

GeoGrey Sword was basically "the trick he needed for one episode for pure melee combat"
And after serving its purpose, it was never useful ever again.
Not helped that Burst Mode later gave ShineGreymon a more effective melee weapon

ClearSky • 1 year ago

Yea the blaster blade can break and if it does he can just punch his enemies with Planet Knuckle attack

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Doubt it
After all. the Digimon seem to have more "semantic" powers here.
Just look at Calamaramon and her power to "make swirls" despite she supposedly being more related to conventional water

if anything ti would be more surprising to see what digimon ends up being

Noah • 1 year ago

I guess you got me there also can you really see Beelzemon appearing in an amusement park? I just said him because he’s the great demon lord of greed

KingKrash • 1 year ago

Actually, Yah, if it involves other Digimon, Beelzemon is one of those that feels like an Anti-Hero rather just a straight villain(Thanks to Tamers)

Seven • 1 year ago

Wait what? Hiro can evolve other digimon too? I have a very bad feeling that this power will be used on moonmillenniummon somehow... imagine seeing a digimon main character being partner to zeedmillenniummon...

Edit: Gluttony is the next ep theme, what digimon fits this? I thought of Belzemon because he is the gluttony of the seven demon lords...

KiboE • 1 year ago

Beelzemon does seem a likely candidate (especially since Lilithmon appeared).

Personally, I think Burpmon is also a possible culprit considering what they say about Burpmon (A Digimon that that never gets full no matter how much it eats).

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

I hope they won't forget Moon Millenniummon. I personally think that Moon would be used as a device for Gulus' evolution.

Giving how now Hiro has two digimon, it would be nice that Ruli and Kiyoshiro also have that chance.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

especially considering airdramon is kind of ruri's secondary digimon partner

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Yes, it's shame that we didn't see Airdramon for a while.

Kei 098 • 1 year ago

He allrready did it with Jellymon, in one of the first episodes.

So, evolviong a other digimon isnt new. But rarely used.

KiboE • 1 year ago

So Hiro can digivolve Espimon.
Well, this isn't the first time a main character gets "two" Digimon partners. There was Willis/Wallace from Digimon Adventures 02 and various Digimon game characters (Nokia from Digimon Cyber Sleuth).

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Indeed there has been multiple digimon partners to human partners.
Also lets count Digimon Xros-Wars since it has the same scenarios.

elvijsjak • 1 year ago

Also in some earlier episode of this, there were "partner" switching thing.

tantei-san • 1 year ago

There is an episode where ruli evolve jellymon if I'm not mistaken

KiboE • 1 year ago

If you mean the Frozomon incident, Ruli didn't digivolve Jellymon, but she did sync with Teslajellymon that allowed them to fight/beat Frozomon.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

I was kinda hoping seeing more "synch" and maybe even have a tamer evolving a digimon NOT their own (like what happened here)

I knew Espimon Digivolve to HoverEspimon

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Clavis Angemon is one of highest ranking angel digimon and here, he is demoted to one mad landlord.
Oh, finally, all that Espimon's idiocy and nonsense about "fake Hiro" are over, thank God. He evolved and he looks ridiculous. Well, Espimon knows now that Hiro is the "real Hiro", we could say that this episode had plot progress.

Also, does this mean that Aoi is possible tamer for Espimon or she will be left out? This was rare chance for her to know about digimon, because she was there and watched the whole fight.
If Meru-san can know about digimon (she probably never appear again), I am quite sure that Aoi who appeared a lot also can know about digimon.

It was nice seeing mischievous Impmon, because next episode is "Gluttony".
We already knew how Ruli attracted some powerful dark and evil digimon (Phelesmon, Vamdemon, Piemon) it wouldn't be surprise if Beelzebumon make appearance in next episode.
Giving how they now facing mega level digimon, I don't think some other candidates will appear (Weddinmon or Burpmon).
Although, it would be nice to see Weddinmon (Lady Gaga digimon).

wwlaos • 1 year ago

"He evolved and he looks ridiculous." Haha, thank you for saying it. XD

I was really disappointed with Hiro digivolving Espimon, honestly. When Aoi had that connection with him and then got pulled into their digital battlefield, I was so excited at the probability of her become Espimon's partner, but then they just threw it away with Hiro doing the deed instead. Seems like a waste. :/

But, yeah, at least the "fake Hiro" business is over.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

I know, right? This could be perfect opportunity to have new tamer, especially because Aoi already had troubles with digimon, just like Kotarou.
Well, with "fake Hiro" idiocy is gone now, we could say that's plot progress.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

I wonder if Kotarou will end up getting a digimon partner (given the many interactions he has had with Gammamon at this point). If he does, it would be like when Hirokazu in Tamers got Guardromon as a partner.

I can see a third plot with Fukatsu as a "third time's the charm", and like Kenta from Tamers, getting a comedic looking digimon as a partner (like when Kenta got MarineAngemon)

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Kotarou, Aoi and Fukatsu could easily be new tamers or team B.

They already knew about digimon, they had numerous interactions with digimon (especially Kotarou).

KingKrash • 1 year ago

I'm guessing she doesn't appear anymore or she is just shown casually like usual, MAYBE it could be that she starts hanging out with the Digimon when she's with Hiro and Co or when they are busy like previous times that the Digimon wandered about.

Honestly the only big change is just awareness of the truth, since she liked them before and still after even after finding out.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

I am pretty sure that we will see Aoi from time to time, alongside with Mika.
I don't know how they will handle Aoi after this episode. I mean, she clearly knows now everything about digimon, she knows Ruli's secret.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

ClavisAngemon here was the ultimate "mundane utility" moment....
I guess you could gave him some credit and say he is making "a digimon sanctuary for stray digimons on earth". but while that's a more dramatic description, he is still a landlord

Not all digievolutions are made equal. Some are weird Like Espimon's evolution

I wish we got a moment of Aoi saying "So this was your secret" (because ithink in Myotismon episode, Ruli'sfriends became aware she was hiding something, but thought to respect her privacy), And ruri just laughing nervously saying "yeah.... i have so much to tell you...

Even if Aoi ends up as "Espimon's unofficial tamer", it is still a better deal than what Fukatsu has gotten so far (2 digimon interactions that ended BADLY to say the least)

Thanks. I was even forgetting ShogunGeckomon's unofficial partner (Meru). Yeah. I wouldbe surprised if we even get a quick cameo with those 3 again.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Aoi and Mika knew that Ruli is hiding something from them in Phelesmon's episode where Symbare Angoramon debuted.

"I wish we got a moment of Aoi saying "So this was your secret" (because
ithink in Myotismon episode, Ruli'sfriends became aware she was hiding
something, but thought to respect her privacy), And ruri just laughing
nervously saying "yeah.... i have so much to tell you..." - yet another missed opportunity because Aoi now could really know about digimon. I mean, she was there is pseudo digital world, she witnessed that battle against Clavis Angemon, she is unofficial Espimon's tamer, everything was ready for her to know Ruli's secret, but no, nothing of that happened.

I know that Fukatsu's interaction with Meicrackmon Vicious mode ended badly, but when was the other interaction?

Meru-san got more respect than the others characters who got more screen time.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

That Clavis Angemon made that separate space for Digimon to reside in so he has every right to be a landlord or as I think be the keeper of the DIgimon Apartment. How does HoverEspimon look ridiculous to you he looks more like a UFO more than anything. Aoi could only be what I would call a pseudo tamer when there are canonically only three Digivices that are made. Weddinmon fits the sweets theme but it wouldn't fit her description too well. Ruli didn't technically attract some powerful dark Digimon exactly but rather she tends to find herself running to them because those Digimon was running an attraction or owned his own line of products like Vamdemon did. Also I checked Burpmon and apparently it's an unknown case like Meicrackmon Vicious Mode is with no actual typing and that anyone could become a Burpmon when coming into contact with one or they just eat way too much.

I finished writing another episode of my Ghost Game Alternate Universe this week. It's faster this time since I didn't really had to think too much about it since it was one I planned for a long time. It plays into theme with syncing and bonds but instead of making new ones it's the opposite where it's a case where a sync is broken and a bond is severed.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

If Clavis Angemon made that separate space for Digimon to reside, that doesn't explain how people ended up in that space. At least, he didn't kill anyone.
I just don't like Espimon having prominent role in Ghost Game. I don't like his design and in all seriousness, Hover Espimon looks like a mess.
Remember Tamers? Tamers also started with three main protagonists, but how show went on, number of tamers grew (Juri, Hirokazu, Kenta, Shaochung, even those two little brats).
So, technically it could be possible here to have more than just three main protagonists.
Also, in almost every digimon season, you always have someone who joins later (Hikari, Ken, Ryo and the others tamers, Kouichi, Ikuto, Nene and Kiriha, Yuujin). Maybe, something similar is going to happen in Ghost Game.
Burpmon is okay with theme of the next episode, but it would be disappointing to have him. Also, thumbnail of preview of the next episode on YouTube has yellow color, and yellow is the color of Beelzebumon and his crown of Gluttony.
I promise I will read your episodes, I'm just so busy.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

The difference between the Digivices in Ghost Game and the ones in Tamers is the latter had Digivices appearing out of nowhere after a human becomes true partners with a Digimon.

Also you don't have to promise me anything. I know you are probably busy but I am just letting you know I finished another one. As long as you have the link you can check it out whenever you want.

howlingwolfjoey • 1 year ago

60+ episodes later and FINALLY Epimon evolved. I would cheer in happiness, but honestly, with his constant Fake Hiro schtick makes me not want to care for him anymore. If this would've been done 30-40 episodes earlier, then maybe I would care. But its too little too late. He has no redeeming qualities and I just want to see him gone from the series.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Espimon debuted in episode 38 and now after 24 episodes he finally did something meaningful - he evolved and he abandoned his "fake Hiro" nonsense.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

I hope that, NOW he is aware Hiro is the real Hiro, maybe he can do what he was supposed to do when he met "the real Hiro"

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Oh, yeah, because of that nonsense, we completely forgot that Hokuto sent Espimon to Hiro.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I had a hunch that we were going to get ClavisAngemon today, but Espimon evolving into HoverEspimon was unexpected yet welcomed! Now we're finally back to the gimmick in which Digidestined are able to evolve other Digimons, like what Ruli did with Jellymon a long time ago.

I hope that gimmick gets to stay this time around, especially now if we consider that Espimon finally acknowledged Hiro to be the person he was looking for... and I'm happy to see that the plot is finally moving, even tho it is a very slow progression.

Also, Beelzebumon next episode? I cannot think of any other Digimon that can be a potential enemy next week, especially if gluttony is involved.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

This episode had a plot progress with Espimon finally acknowledges Hiro as the real one.
Ruli synced up with Tesla Jellymon in Frozomon's episode in the same manner how Hiro synced up with Jellymon in Calamaramon's episode.
Ryudamon evolved to Ginrymon willingly, but Espimon evolved thanks to Hiro.
Does that make Hiro a tamer with two different digimon?

For next episode, Beelzebumon is perfect giving the title of episode, although it would be nice to see Weddinmon, but main trio is facing now only mega level digimon.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Except Ruli didn't evolve Jellymon the last time they teamed up against Frozomon since Jellymon was already evolved to TeslaJellymon by Kiyoshiro prior.

I made use of this gimmick in my Ghost Game Alternate Universe episodes which I dubbed Dual syncing which was a feature of the Digivice Dual V I made up allowing for a Digivice wielder to sync up with a second Digimon. I feel Espimon finally accepting the Hiro he has been with being the real Hiro was a bit too sudden but that's probably because I had my own idea for it that is not as sudden but far more heated.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

That happened so long ago we are all forgetting it was just a synch

I was really thinking we would have gotten more moments like that of "partner digimon synching with other human partner by the digivice". sadly we didn't. it would have added variety.

I wonder if Espimon will try to do, whatever he was supposed to do when he met the real Hiro next episode, or later. I can see it being something semi anticlimatic, like having a letter from his dad.
